Description:

Tree. Treelet 2.5 m, inflorescences pendent, monocarps yellow. On slope. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary forest on terra firme, mostly level terrain, deeply dissected by a few large streams; canopy open, as is much of understory. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again in places approx. 12 years after dieback. Rare.
