Description:

Understory tree; ca. 4 meters tall. Only one individual noted. Bark black, fibrous. Sweet, slightly medicinal scent present in the stems. Fruits pale green.

Habitat:

Relatively undisturbed (but, previously logged?) forest, interspersed with occasional fields. Bosque húmedo de llanura.
