Location:

Indonesia. East Borneo: West Kutei, Mt. Palimasan, near Tabang on Belajan River. Alt. 700 m. (2297 ft.)

Description:

Tree 30 m tall, diameter 20 cm; bark somewhat fissured, yellowish. Living bark dark red-brown. Latex dark yellow, plenty. Wood reddish brown. Base of trunk fluted or on stiltroots. Character tree. The trees are seldom upright.

Habitat:

Agathis forest. Very common. Acid, sandy, waterlogged soil.
