Description:

Tree to eight metres. Bark smooth, and pale fawn in colour. Leaves near the ends of branches, opposite and decussate. Flowers usually singly in the axils of leaves near the ends of branches. Calyx a green tube with five lobes, covered with long yellow-white hairs. Corolla of five white large petals. Stamens inserted in a tube, but directed towards the upper part of the flower; anthers yellow. Style long and thick, white, with a spherical yellow stigma. Fruit large and green at first, becoming fleshy inside.
Habitat:

In fairly open forest, with no larger trees.
