Description:
Tree, growing in upland forest on a ridge near the Jesuit ruins, ca. 15 m tall x 20 cm DBH, without buttresses, bark smooth, dark gray, exudate watery, red; leaves shiny dark green above, lighter green beneath; flower buds green; fruit tan, streaked with dark brown, single-seeded, the seed yellowish, laterally arilate, the aril cream-colored, attached to a white funiculus. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
