Description - Tree 12-16 m tall, the branchlets densely tomentose, glabrescent; stipules deciduous, oblong, ca 6 mm long and 1.5 mm wide; petioles 2-3 cm long, densely tomentose, terete; rachis 8-10 cm long, densely tomentose; leaflets 2- or 3-jugate, the petiolules 4-6 mm long, densely tomentose but glabrescent, the blades elliptic to broadly elliptic, those of the lowermost pair 8-14 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, the other pairs 12.5-20(-30) cm long, 6-9(-13) cm wide, the base of all the leaflets acute to obtuse, the apex acute, sometimes bluntly acute, the young leaves densely strigulose on the costa and primary veins on the upper surface, densely cano-arachnoid-pubescent and more or less resinous-strigulose beneath, the mature leaflets glabrous, the costa and primary veins impressed above, salient beneath, the primary veins interconnected distally in a strongly undulate submarginal vein; inflorescence 9-10 cm long, ramigerous, densely racemose, subspicate, the axis matted-velutinous, the bracts persistent, oblong to oblanceolate, acute, albo-strigulose externally, glabrous on the inner surface, the bracteoles lacking; pedicels 6-8 mm long, matted-strigulose; calyx segments 5, glabrous within, matted-strigulose externally, deciduous to persistent; petal lacking; larger stamens 2, glabrous, the filaments ca 8 mm long, the anthers oblong, ca 2 mm long, the smaller stamens glabrous, the filaments ca 4 mm long; stigma capitellate; style ca 2 mm long, glabrous, arcuate-uncinate; ovary densely tomentose-pilose, arcuate, narrowly oblong, the gynophore 2-3 mm long, densely tomentose-pilose; fruit not seen.
