Description:
Description - Tree with velutinous to tomentose obviously costate branchlets; stipules semicircular to oblate, caducous to deciduous; petioles terete, tomentose, strigulose, or velutinous, the rachis terete or inconspicuously marginate, tomentose, strigulose, or velutinous; leaflets 3-6-jugate, the blades coriaceous to rigid-coriaceous, pubescent beneath, the basal pair smallest and often differently shaped; inflorescences usually cauligerous to ramuligerous, rarely axillary, the axis densely pubescent, the bracts usually persistent, oblong to rounded, the bracteoles lacking; buds globose to oval in outline; calyx segments usually persistent, coriaceous; petal yellow; stamens glabrous to pubescent; gynoecium glabrous to pubescent, the ovary narrowly elliptic, the style elongate, more than half as long as the ovary to equally long; fruit woody, flattened laterally, usually obliquely ridged, 1- to few-seeded.
