Open oak (Quercus) dominated pine (Pinus rigida) - oak forest, ona gentle hillside grading into a swampy mixture of Atlantic white cedar (Chamaecyparis) - red maple (Acer rubrum). On the rotting trunk of a pitch pine (Pinus rigida).
