Sandstone rock houses along steep SW-facing slopes with mature mixed hardwood (Acer saccharum, Asimina, Celtis, Betula lenta, Fagus, Ilex opaca, Liriodendron, Magnolia macrophylla, Quercus prinus, Symplocos, Tilia) - conifers (Pinus taeda, Tsuga) with Kalmia understory. on Tsuga root.
