Mature mixed hardwood (Quercus rubra and Acer saccharum dominant, with Acer pensylvanicum, Betula lenta, Fagus, Halesia, Ilex montana, Tilia) with sparse Tsuga and schistose rock outcrops. on large Quercus rubra base.
