Description:

fertile; 1 thallus; 25-50 apothecia; 11 cm diameter.

Habitat:

Acid forest with mixed hardwoods (Acer, Quercus, Liriodendron, Carya) and Pinus strobus, occasional non-calcareous rock outcrops. on Acer saccharum.
