Disturbed, brushy, upland mixed oak-hickory forest; open blackjack oak-post oak woodland with understory dominated by bryophytes and bunchgrasses; sandstone boulders, outcrops and low to tall, E and W-facing cliffs of Tonganoxie Sandstone Member of the Pennsylvanian Stranger Formation along N–S-trending ravine formed by unnamed tributary to Middle Creek; and tall, sheer, N-facing sandstone cliffs along S side of Middle Creek. Soil sandy. on 24 in dbh Quercus rubra.
