Filed As:

Lentibulariaceae
Utricularia greenei Oakes ( syntype )
Location:

United States of America. Massachusetts. Plymouth Co. Plymouth. Plymouth.
Collector(s):

W. Oakes s.n. with , s.d.
Description:

The stem is always perfectly eerct when growing to the very tip, therefore the flowers cannot be resupinate. I have found, among thousands, only one specimen with 2 flowers, and in that case the 2 peduncles forked from the middle, and were erect and nearly 2 inches long, (...margin), and and slightly twisted, so that there could be inner or outer. If a specimen should be found with flowers nearly sessile, no doubt the spurred lip would be outer, as in Utricularia cornuta. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
