Location:

Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 3.7 km NNW of Padua Sales. (About 27 km NW of city of Moji-Mirim.). Alt. 575 - 625 m. (1886 - 2051 ft.)

Description:

Heads cream-colored, anthers yellow. 1-10 fl. stems per plant. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: wet open ground near marsh on west side of brook.
