Description:

treelet. Shrub or treelet to 3m, leaves only at branch apices, subterminally ramiflorous, inflorescence axes red-purple, fruits white. Leaves and young stems with urticating hairs. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Terra firme forest near newly opened unpaved access road, undulating terrain. Soil sandy in many places. Rare. No Guadua, but strong presence of Bertholletia and Tetragastris altissima s.l.
