Distribution and Ecology - A widely distributed species in the Andes from Costa Rica, Peru, the West Indies and southern Brazil, here reported for the first time from the Guayana Highland. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: bosques a lo largo de la frontera Venezolana-Brasilera, noreste de la Serrania Pia-soi, lat 3º53', long 62°46', alt 650-800 m, 5-6 Jan 1962, Steyermark 90657 (male only NY).
