Description:
Species Description - Plants epiphytic. Rhizomes long-creeping, covered with dark brown hairs 1-2 mm long. Fronds monomorphic, pinnatifid or more divided; petiole winged, 2-3 mm long, covered with opal-colored hairs; rachis winged; blade lanceolate and 2-8 X 1-2 cm in juveniles, oblong and 5-15 X 1.5-6 cm in adults, the segments alternate, 10-30 on each side of blade, 4-10 mm wide, lobed, the lobes bifid or often pinnate. Involucres lateral, conical, 1 mm long, generally located at base of segments, sometimes at apex as well, with pedicel 1 mm long.
Distribution and Ecology - On tree trunks in lowland forest.
