Bolivia. Tarija. Gran Chaco Prov. Canyon of Río Pilcomayo, along road from Villa Montes to Entre Ríos and Tarija, 18.3 km. (by road) W of center of Villa Montes, 12.6 km. (by road) W of bridge over Río Pilcomayo. Alt. 471 m. (1545 ft.)

Description:

Weak herbs, evidently forming a large and diffuse clone. Many plants with a nearly globose 'tuber' or swelling on the taproot. Flowers odorless (10:40 A.M., cloudy). Corolla white, with yellow-green star; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower , Fertile.

Habitat:

In shade. Dry forest with Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Acacia tucumanensis, A. hayesii, Synandrospadix vermitoxicus, Saccellium lanceolatum, Cochlospermum tetraporum, Loxopterygium grisebachii.
