Description:

Slender palm with orange to red prop roots from 0.5 to 1.5 m. up from base; trunks single but sometimes grouped, 10-20 m. tall; leaves 3 m. long, plus sheath ca. 0.8 m. long. Fruit green. Inflorescences apparently subtended by 2 sheathes. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Swampy forest with many palms.
