Description:

Patch of shrubs in open brushy area, with many stems, to 2.5 m tall. Seems to be dioecious, but many more male than female shrubs here; male and female inflorescences spreading, the males yellow-green, the females more green.
Habitat:

Weedy roadside with herbs and shrubs. Disturbed semi-deciduous subtropical or chaco forest, partially cleared for pastures, with Aspidosperma cylindrocarpum, Reichenbachia hirsuta. Fine sandy and clay soil, flat.
