Description:

Terrestrial shrub to 1.5 m tall. Rachis green. Pedicels, calyx and lower 3/4 corolla salmon-pink; upper 1/4 corolla white. Corolla twice-constricted, more or less globose at base. Growing together with P. ferruginea and P. columbiensis, with P. guianensis and P. sclerantha close. [DNA; pickled].
Habitat:

Disturbed roadside slopes with remnant cloud forest.
