Description:

Herb. Terrestrial herb. Leaves glossy green above, purple below. Stems barely winged. Inflorescence terminal panicle. Calyx green; corolla pink; filaments white; anthers pinkish.

Habitat:

Disturbed clearing with weedy herbs on river abutting forest. Rocks, gravel, and brown sandy soil. Some cultivated plants: Musa, Mangifera, Persea, Citrus.
