Discussion:
I have no confidence in naming “species’ in the complex around C. cordata Cogn., C. purpureo-violacea Cogn., C. crotonifolia Pilg., and C. ramiflora. From the relatively large inflorescences and short calyx lobes with non-emergent external teeth, Camp E-1128 and E-1176 (both from the Cordillera Cutucú, Santiago-Zamora, Ecuador) seem best placed at present in C. ramiflora var. colombiana Gleas.
