Nomenclature remarks: Nomen nudum = Tococa stephanotricha
Taxonomy and Systematics: Spruce 4256 was annotated by Spruce as "Tococa pterocalyx sp. nov.", and although the name is mentioned by Spruce (1908), it was never formally published. This specimen has since been determined as T. stephanotricha.
