Description: Shrub 2.5 m. Young stems caniculate, pubescent with long stalked glands with thin walled heads, and stipitate-stellate trichomes, internodes longitudinal ridges absent, nodal line absent. Leaves isophyllous; petiole 3.3-4.7 cm long, pubescent with elongated trichomes and long stalked glands with thin walled heads 0.9-2.3 mm long, and densely covered with stipitate-stellate trichomes; the blade 12.0-12.2 x 8.3-9.1 cm, cordate, chartaceous, the apex acute, the base subcordate to rounded, the margin undulate and ciliate with deep maroon trichomes 0.9-1.5 mm long; secondary veins 3-4 pairs, basally, tertiary veins percurrent, quaternary veins percurrent, areoles 0.7-0.9 mm wide, veins flat on the adaxial surface and raised on the abaxial surface; adaxial surface bullate, pubescent with bulla-based trichomes without enations, 0.6-1.2 mm, and glabrous on the primary and secondary veins; abaxial surface densely pubescent with stipitate-stellate trichomes, elongated and long stalked glands with thin walled heads 1.5-2.7 mm, the primary and secondary veins pubescent with stipitate-stellate trichomes. Inflorescences a terminal, panicle, 12.5 cm cm long; peduncles caniculate, pubescent with stipitate-stellate trichomes, black glandular hairs and elongated trichomes 0.6-1.0 mm; bracts caduceus, bracteoles persistent 4.1-4.9 x 0.4-0.6 mm, lanceolate, pubescent with sessile-stellate trichomes. Flowers 5-merous, diplostemonous, pedicel sessile. Hypanthium 4.5 mm long, campanulate, 4.3-4.7 mm wide at the torus, external surface pubescent with stipitate-stellate trichomes and long stalked glands with thin walled heads. Calyx open in bud, the tube 1.2 mm long at anthesis, the lobes 2.1-2.5 x 1.2-2.0 mm, triangular, apex slightly rounded; calyx teeth stout appendages, 1.2-1.5 x 0.5-1.0 mm, pubescent as in the hypanthium. Petals-5, 10.5-11 x 4.5-5 mm, rhomboid, (drying pinkish), glabrous, sometimes glandular 1 mm below the apex, the apex acute, the margin entire. Stamens isomorphic, filament 4.2-4.8 mm long, glabrous, anthers with 2 locules, thecae 3.6-4.3 x 0.7-0.8 mm, straight, opening by 1 upright 0.1 pore, connective not prolonged below the thecae, glabrous. Ovary 5-locular, 1/3 inferior, the apex absent a corona; style 10 mm long, straight, glabrus; stigma truncate to slightly expanded, apex glandular, 0.7-1 mm wide.
