Description:

Shrub, 5 m high or shorter; soft wood reddish, with a slightly fetid odor; bark bron, deeply checked, gray and merely lenticelled on the slender branchlets; subcoriaceous leaves spreading, dull green above, yellowish beneath; inflorescence from near the base of the stem or stems; clusters 6 inches long more or less, branched, the ultimate ones suberect; bracts soft red; the young fruit brighter purplish-red; the four delicate corollas orange-red and radially spreading; filaments whitish; anthers wholly light yellow; branchlets of the inflorescence woody but very flexible. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

On wet seepage cliffs.
