Description:

Epiphytic; main branches few, 5-8 feet long, 1 inch thick, crookedly rebranched; wood white and lightly red, soft, odorless, and without taste; bark excrescent, yellowish-gray; twigs suberect, relatively short, flexible, heavy, leaves ascending and strongly recurved, coriaceous, much paler green beneath; Inflorescent clusters mostly along the branches below the foliage, odorless; the buds succulent and white; petals pure white; stamens or the filaments yellowish; the anthers pink; flowers very showy and 2 inches across. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

Upon middle-sized tree trunks 20 feet from the very humid ground and along a forested, steep slope.
