Description:

Plant single-stemmrd below, branched above, 0.5 m; leaves deep-green above; all part of the plant with minute processes, on petals limited to the base of midvein; fl;oral bracts, hypanthium, and sepal lobes red; corolla tubular-urceolate in outline, nigrescent (by very strong transmitted light, petal color deep magenta-purple); filaments deep rose-magenta, anthers sulfer-yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
