Description:

Fruiting shrub to ca. 50 cm. with erect wiry stems. Leaves hard. Young fruit reddish. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Woodland along small stream, normally damp grassland, now dry, and dry cerrado/carrasco woodland on slopes of surrounding quartzitic hills.
