Description:

Shrub. Shrub; hairs red; leaf veins red below; inflorescence rachis, rachillae red; calyx and corolla red. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Low sclerophylous community. In small glen. Brocchinia, Rapateaceae, Eriocaulaceae, Xyridaceae. Bonnetia and Clusia thickets in depressions. Organic soils on sandstone.
