Costa Rica. Cartago. About 10 km. south of Tapanti along the new road on the east slope above the Rio Grande de Orosi. Alt. 1600m. (5249 ft.)

Description:

Small plant, inflor. deep red; leaves deeply rugose. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

In deep shade. Very steep slopes with open forest and many epiphytes.
