Panama. Coclé. Cerro Gaital, east slope and ridges leading to the summit. Alt. 1050 - 1100 m. (3445 - 3609 ft.)

Description:

Shrub mostly 1-1.5 m tall. Petals white like the filaments and style. Anthers pale yellow. Stigma pink. Berry white, then turning blue at maturity. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

With montane rainforest and elfin woodland. Locally common.
