Description:

Tree. Sapling to 2 m. Leaves coriaceous, green, sparsely brown rufous below on venation. Unusual galls along stem above leaf petioles. Hairy and bright red. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Gallery forest with Eperua, Mora, Rubiaceae dominant.
