Venezuela. Aragua. Parque Nacional Henri Pittier. Along the road from Maracay to Choroni, 9 km below top of north side of pass. Alt. 880 m. (2887 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 8 m tall. Leaves subcoriaceous. Pubescence pinkish brown; red on bases of young leaves and on flowers and fruits. Flowers green, stigma green. Fruits mostly immature, green, turning purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

Habitat:

Cloud forest along roadside.
