Description:

Shrub 2 m.; hairs on calyx and hypanthium magenta-red; pubescence on stems and petioles cooper-magenta; base of youngest leaves purple above. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Virgin wet forest on slopes along old road.
