Description:

Shrub to 1.5 m tall; flowers rose-red, fruits purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Much disturbed cloud forest. With Miconia subcompressa, M. favosa, M. tetrastoma, Meriania involucrata, Heterotrichum umbellatum, Ossaea limoides, Mecranium ovatum. Common.
