Description:

Shrub to 1.5 m tall. Petals pink Large anthers red. Small anthers orange-red. Connective heand appendages yellow. Basal half of hypanthis red, the distal half and calyx lobes brown on maturing fruit. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Campo rupestre and grassy seepage slopes. Locally common in dry areas and on rocks.
