Dominican Republic. La Vega. Cordillera Central. Ca. 3 km N of Paso Bajito (ca. 12.5 km N of El Rio) on road between El Rio and Jarabacoa. Alt. 1100 m. (3609 ft.)

Description:

Shrub to ca. 2.5 m tall. Flowers white. Older flowers with reflexed petals. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Growing in moist, shaded roadcut. Disturbed Pinus forest with Heterotrichum, Miconia, Passiflora, Eupatorium, Piper, Rubus, Inga, Myrsine, and Baccharis. Uncommon.
