Location:

Puerto Rico. Cordillera Central. Reserva Forestal Maricao, off Rt. 120 at km 16.8, along trail. This location is 3.5 km S of jct. of Rt. 105 and Rt. 120. South of Maricao. Alt. 700 m. (2297 ft.)

Description:

Tree ca. 6 m. tall. Branches erectly ascending. Flowers rose to white, anthers yellow, arranged zygomorphically, anther gland orange-yellow; fruits green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Montane forest. Uncommon. Over serpentine.
