Description:

Shrub ca. 2 m tall. Corolla magenta within, paler without; filaments dark red-violet; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Outcrops. Cerrado, sedge meadow (brejo), sandstone outcrops, and gallery forest. Gray sandy soil.
