Description:

Shrub 1 m tall; petals reddish purple; stamens reddish. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Wet sandy places. Valley with very steep, rocky sandstone sides sloping down to gallery forest, with sedge meadow (brejo) just above forest in places.
