Description:

Shrub 8 dm tall.Corolla magenta.Large anthers red, the small anthers and appendages yellow.Occasional on white sand.

Habitat:

Open areas of white sand surrounded by cerrado vegetation on higher ground and a dense cover of sedges and grasses in lower damp depressions.
