Description:

Shrub 1.5 m tall with prominently winged internodes. Flowers cauliflorous and produced predominantly at the base of the hard woody stems. Petals 5, pale pink, incurved apically. Anthers yellow, forming a ring around the straight style. Maturing hypanthia red like the bracts and bracteoles.
Habitat:

Cloud forest. Local.
