Location:

Brazil. Minas Gerais. Santana do Riacho Mun. Serra do Cipó. About 23-24 kmfrom the bridge over the Rio Cipó on the road from Serra do Cipó (foremerly Cardeal Mota), about 38 km S of Conceição do Mato Dento on a temprary detour road while the main Serra do Cipó/Conceição roas was being paved. Alt. 1260 m. (4134 ft.)

Description:

Shrub 0.5 m tall. No flowers seen. A few old capsules persisting. Ovary 6-locular.

Habitat:

Campo rupestre with adjacent campo limpo. One individual seen growing with L. caryophyllea, L. firmula, L. glandulifera, L. sampaioana, and L. imbricata.
