Dominican Republic. Azua. Sierra Martin Garcia, Loma del Aguacate; hills and ridge of mountain west of Barreras; 550-850 m elev. Plants mainly collected along trail from Barreras to El Copey. Alt. 690 m. (2264 ft.)

Description:

Shrub to 1 m tall; flowers white, anthers yellow, and placed zygomorphically; immature berries green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Disturbed forest on limestone, grading into moist montane forest. Rare.
