Costa Rica. Heredia. 5 km down a jack-knife turn to the east, off of Highway 9, 3.3 km north of Vara Blanca.

Description:

Tree about 8 m. tall. Petals white. Filaments yellow, anthers orange. Fruit a dark blue berry. Infrequent.

Habitat:

Wet pasture land and woods bordering a pre-montane rain forest.
