Dominican Republic. La Vega. Cordillera Central, ca. 3.1 km N of Paso Bajito (ca. 14.5 km N of El Rio), on rd. from Constanza to Jarabacoa. Alt. 1100 m. (3609 ft.)

Description:

Shrub to ca. 3 m tall; flowers white (anthers white). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Plant in shade. Moist disturbed forest along stream, surrounded by disturbed pine forest. Uncommon.
