Haiti. Ouest. Massif de la Selle, along Kenscoff road, 2.9 mi south of junction with road to top of Morne Teleco (=M. Tranchant); ca. 5.4 mi south of Kenscoff; ca. 0.3 mi north of Furcy. Alt. 1560 m. (5118 ft.)

Description:

Shrub to 3-5 m tall; flower buds only in this population. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Moist forest of Pinus occidentalis. Very disturbed. With Miconia domingensis, M. tetrastoma, Mecranium multiflorum, Clidemia umbellata, Tetrazygia crotonifolia, Ossaea scalpta. Common.
