Haiti. Sud. Massif de la Hotte. Along trail from Les Platons to Sou Bwa ca. 0.5 km S of Sou Bwa and ca. 30 m S of house of Auprano Despagne. Alt. 905 m. (2969 ft.)

Description:

Flowers with strongly reflexed, red-purple petals and red-purple stamens with cream anthers. Style strongly curved. Immature fruits tinged with red-purple. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Fields having dog-toothed limestone areas. With Phyllanthus, Lobelia, Besleria, Smilax, and Vernonia.
