Dominican Republic. Independencia. Sierra de Neiba. Along the Carretera Internacional near the Haitian border, 17.3 km N of La Descubierta. Alt. 920 m. (3018 ft.)

Description:

Shrub ca. 3.5 m tall. Hypanthium green, tinged with red-purple. Petals white. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
Habitat:

In sunny thickets above roadcut. Disturbed hardwood forest on limestone. With Myrsine, Eupatorium, Heterotrichum, Miconia, Coccoloba, Solanum, Oreopanax, and Garrya. Locally common.
